THE PROJECT
Various residential aged care projects ranging from alterations/additions to the upgrade of existing facilities. KFTP’s role also included the demolition and redevelopment of existing structures, site works and development of new residential aged care buildings.
UPLIFT
Knight Frank Town Planning completed pre-application community engagement, managed the statutory planning processes and provided advice on appropriate planning strategies to obtain development approval and thereafter provided advice regarding means of effecting the notice of approval. KFTP also assisted with ACAT appeals.
KEY LESSONS
The team at Knight Frank learnt the importance of working closely with each client to ensure they understood the intricacies of the ACT planning system including the leasehold system, and the rest of the project teams to ensure all development inputs were prepared to required standards, ensuring all parties were appropriately briefed on the proposal prior to lodgement allowing the projects to run smoothly and no major issues identified throughout the project.
